5:38p - This Is The Post That Is About FC 2007!
Time for the long-overdue FC post! (I'd get into the habit of posting here more regularly, if it didn't take so much time for me to do so)
Further Confusion 2007 was a blast, to put it succinctly. It was the first time I'd attended a furry con in its entirety. I did go to Califur last year, but it was only for a few hours on Dead Dog Sunday (no one was even fursuiting at that point) and I didn't know anyone there, so I spent a good portion of my time just kinda wandering -- it was sort of a "testing the waters" experience for me. But FC was TOTALLY different. I knew quite a number of people through Second Life, several of whom I'd already met at SLCC 2006. And the fursuiters and other cosplayers really added a sense of surreality to the convention... I was awed by the amount of work put into many of those costumes, as well as the unique personality each one (the costume AND the player) conveyed. I do wish I could have caught the fursuit parade on Sunday, but the group I was with was late getting back from lunch. :\ Fortunately, there appears to be a plethora of footage (of the parade as well as other FC schtuff) on the ubiquitous YouTube. YAY YOUTUBE.

You're seriously one of the cutest and most awesomest couples in the world. :3 Eltee, you never fail to amaze me with your bounty of knowledge -- and your superhuman tolerance of capsaicin! O_O Satch and Buttercup, you're such cool folks to have around (and Satch's fursuit posing is tough to top!). aerofox and loriana (the wonderful foxie couple), hydra_velsen (WOLF), goggremlin (good to meet the other green draggie!), samaraamador (BUNK!!!), warphammer (Booty-oh), draxinator (FEARFUL GEOMETRY), Seal (yummy homebrew), Ian (ty SO much for the Beatfox piccie!), Junius (great meeting ya, hope you had fun!), khyle (stealth tickler GAAH), Khaiel (piano MASTER), stahi (YES I SEE, Mr. Cosby), yetanotherbob (gotta keep the air movin'!), qdot (best. costume. EVAR.), Xzad (thanks for the comix!), roxikat (Myau!), farraptor (congrats on TEH WIN, dead-bone-movin' wolfie!), Tobias (goatee FTW), ze awezome artiztz in ze dealer'z den (Goldenwolf, Kyoht, Farelle, Erin Middendorf OH TY for kyoot keyboard-Beatfox commish!) and anyone who I've happened to miss OH NOES... I had a super time with you all. Sorry about being too lazy/unskilled/brain-muddled to list a witty personal remark for every one of you, but OKAY, so I FINALLY came up with at least something for everyone. *Phew!* I did love seeing every one of you there, and I hope to see you all again next year!
